I started needle felting in 2012 when I saw a kit on Etsy. I was fascinated by the idea, and after thinking about it for quite a while I decided to give it a shot. I have been involved in various forms of the arts since I was a child (my Mother wanted me to be an actress), but I never had much talent in any medium, so when I got my first needle felting kit I expected it to turn out HORRIBLE. I was so happy when it actually came out decent, but more than that, I actually enjoyed it!
From the beginning I had an idea about little felted zombie dolls. It was this idea turned into The Maniacal Menagerie & Zombeez Travel Companions. I will never run out of ideas, though I do sadly run out of time.
I also do photography! I graduated in 2015 from Academy of Art University in San Francisco with my BFA in Fine Art Photography. You can find my work at www.edenmanusphotography.com
But The Maniacal Menagerie isn’t just me. I don’t know where I would be without the help of my husband- not only does he do a million things I can’t, inspire new ideas, and give feedback on how to improve my own, but he even contributes his own felted critters- like Vignar the Battle Bovine.
I’ve got a lot of ideas for exciting new projects, including classes and kits in addition to awesome felted critters, so be sure to sign up to be notified of our updates!
